Week Four - Task #11 - "Room of Requirement"

As your badge-finding quest starts to draw to a close, you and your group find yourselves following the trail all the way to the tapestry of Barnarbas the Barmy and his tap-dancing trolls, and the suspiciously blank wall opposite it. The Room of Requirement was not nearly so secret as it had once been, so most of the group immediately recognised where they were, and the few that didn't were quickly caught up. Together, you walked back and forth past the wall three times, until the door to the Room appeared out of nowhere.

Together, you pushed the door open and headed inside, truly uncertain as to what you would find. Inside, you found the Room of Requirement in its state as the Room of Hidden Things, recognised as such by a few of your classmates who had used it before. You quickly decided to split up and cover as much ground as possible, looking for the badge, so you headed to one corner of the room to start your search. As you moved away from the group and looked around, you thought about a previous time when you'd used the Room of Requirement.

Task:
Create an artistic design showing what the Room looked like when you last visited. Try to show what you needed it for! This could be a drawing, a collage, or any other form of art (in line with HOL guidelines). If you wish, you may include a short description of your image, but this is not required.

Alternatively, in at least 100 words, describe what the Room looked like when you last visited. What did you need it for? How did that manifest for you? Did you already know about the Room, or did you find it accidentally?

I previously needed a quiet place to study in general (the Dungeon gets creaky at night), but it was primarily used for to study and practice with Herbology and Potions.

The last time I used the room of requirement, I was looking for a quiet place to study and then relax- the library was too crowded and the common room noisy, as someone had started a gobstones tournament. I’d never used the room before, but had heard of it. The room appeared as a small study, with a sturdy desk filled with parchment, ink and new quills. In the corner, a large reading chair and blanket, perfect for sitting with a good book. Next to the desk was a bookcase, full of both books a needed to complete my assignments and novels I’d been meaning to read.

The last time I visited, the Room wasn't really big that much. The Room had transformed into a small, cozy nook. There were plush armchairs gathered around a crackling fireplace, warm golden light filtering in from high windows that shouldn’t have existed. A kettle sat on a low table, already hissing gently with my favourite type of tea.

But what surprised me most was that the room was filled with DIY materials. Stacks of fabric, beads, thread, paper, paint, and enchanted tools that hovered beside you to help. I spent the whole time stitching together tiny felt creatures and drinking tea.
