Week Three - Task Seven

Postby Anne-Marie Gagne » Tue Apr 15, 2025 11:03 pm

Finally everyone in the committee agrees on using the greenhouse with only the harmless plants in it to hold the egg hunt and then decide that a little bit away from the greenhouses is where the food will be set up. You and the committee also decided to have a few other fun little carnival games outside of the greenhouses. The egg hunt won’t take all day and would like there to be other fun things there to do before and after it (also, there may be people who don’t care to do the egg hunt but want to have fun with their friends).

For this task, I’d like you to come up with other fun festival activities that the Eggstravaganza can have in a 100 words or more. Post your reply below by April 30th at 11:59PM HOL Time. If you complete all of the Week Three tasks by the end of the month, you’ll receive a BONUS 10 beans/sapphires.

Egg painting and/or dyeing for Eggstravaganza is a must! It would be great to have a little station for it and perhaps have an egg tree nearby to inspire the decorations and patterns or to have the painted/dyed eggs placed on/around once painted/dyed and dried. It could be a contest where people vote on the best-decorated egg, and the winner gets a prize. Having some themed puzzles, like having an Easter word search or bingo to be solved and played, is always fun and promotes more interactions. More classic games other than the egg hunt could be performed, like an egg and spoon race.

Along with the Egg Hunt, there would be an egg decorating station-older students could teach the younger ones colour changing charms and how to animate patterns, but there would of course be the traditional paint too. Students can then vote on the best decorated egg in both the magical and muggle way. There would be various Easter themed races and games, such as an egg and spoon race, a bunny hop race and an egg toss-we could mix up houses and year groups into different teams so students can get to know new people. Finally, there would be a spring themed quiz to wrap up the event.
