Week One - Task Three

Postby Anne-Marie Gagne » Tue Apr 01, 2025 11:01 pm

You and your group have come up with a few ideas for what else to do but you also want to take the time to discuss the egg hunt you want to do. You want to gather ideas on where would be the best place to hold the egg hunt. You fear the whole castle would be too big so you want to gather ideas on smaller areas in the school that would be perfect for it.

For this task, I’d like you to write a list of five places either in the castle or on the castle grounds you think would be good places to hold the egg hunt at.

Please post your reply by April 30th at 11:59PM HOL Time. If you complete all of the Week One tasks by the end of the month, you’ll receive a BONUS 10 beans/sapphires.

1. Library - While it may prove to be a bit of a challenge with all the different locations where one could hide eggs, I think it'd be a great spot to host an egg hunt.
2. Grand Staircase - Placing the eggs on the different levels of the staircase and watching the young witches and wizards struggle to race up the moving staircase would be a blast, at least to watch.
3. Quidditch Pitch - Eggs enchanted to fly (and play a bit hard to get); what else could one want from an egg hunt? On the plus side, it doubles as a way to scout for potential Quidditch players if they're skilled and fast on their brooms during this egg hunt.
4. Herbology Greenhouses - With so many plants to hide eggs around, and maybe even testing one's understanding of a plant's need to grab an egg around them, it'd be a great place to hide eggs (in Greenhouse One to be safe?).
5. Courtyards - To host a more traditional sense of an egg hunt, it might be better to have it in a normal grassy area, as many of the courtyards around the castle provided.

1. Hagrids Hut and the edge of the forbidden forest- making sure not to go too far in!
2. The Black Lake-have the eggs floating on top and use the boats to get around
3. In the Dungeons-plenty of nooks and crannies to hide treats in
4. The courtyard-for a more traditional hunt
5. The Room of Requirement-you could make the layout as vast as you wanted

1. The great hall- big and plenty of spaces to hide eggs it not too big
2. The Quidditch pitch- can hide them in low places and high places for people confident in flying
3. One of the greenhouses- plenty of places to hide eggs but maybe make sure its one that hasn't got any dangerous plants in
4. Hagrids hut and the surrounding ground
5. Individual easter egg hunt in your common rooms
