Making a paper aeroplane is a very common experience, and a great way to cure boredom for younger children (although school teachers may not always appreciate it). Now, the US has a day specifically to celebrate these marvellous creations, in all their forms, on May 26th, National Paper Airplane Day!

Celebrants of the day might make their own airplanes, maybe even learning a new style to create, and some will host gatherings or parties to share their passion.

Task:
Design an advert for a paper airplane competition! This could be a competition to do with making the airplanes, racing them, or a combination of the two. Make sure to keep your graphic to 600 x 600 px or below.

Alternatively, describe how you would design an advert for a paper airplane competition.

Share your submission below to earn 10 beans/sapphires, plus a potential 10 beans/sapphires for completing all the Week 4 tasks by the end of the activity. All submissions are due at 11:59pm on June 13th.

The background of the poster would be a bright blue sky filled with fluffy white clouds. Scattered across the sky would be colorful paper airplanes in flight, some zooming forward, others twisting or diving. At the top, in bold, playful letters, the title would read 'The Great Paper Airplane Challenge!' The font would have a light feel to match the theme.

Beneath the title, I’d include the key details in a clear layout - date, time, location, who can participate, and how to register.

To add some pizzaz, I’d highlight fun competition categories, like 'Longest Distance', 'Coolest Design', and 'Best Mid-Air Trick'. I’d include a small section with pictures or sketches of different paper plane styles.

At the bottom, I’d feature a bold banner that says 'Awesome prizes for top flyers!' with images of trophies, medals, and sweets.
