Week Three - Task #10. "Town Hall Tampering"

Postby Prof. Sindor Aloyarc » Sun Sep 14, 2025 11:04 pm

Bridgeton’s town hall has been “haunted” for years. Toilets flushing on their own, and a grandfather clock that keeps chiming thirteen times. Some Muggles chalk it up to old plumbing and faulty mechanics.

But now there's not just an upswing in magical activity, there’s proof. Security footage shows a room cleaning itself and documents writing themselves. A cloak flutters into frame, then disappears.

You investigate and find a hidden room in the basement. Inside, old books, a cracked wand, and a crude magical amplifier buzzing softly.

This isn’t just someone practicing in secret. It’s a full blown hideout.

Task:
Write and post below a piece of Creative Writing, using 100 words or more to share any HOL appropriate story that takes place in a building that's haunted.

Alternatively you can solve the following Word Search (earning 1 bean/sapphire for each of fifteen words found) and Send Me Your Solution through a private message. 15 beans/sapphires are available for this task, with an extra 15 for completing all Week Three tasks by end of activity.
